AMBIKA

Watercolour painting on paper of a female goddess, possibly Ambika. She is shown with four arms; in her upper left hand she holds a bow and in her lower left hands she holds an ankusha (elephant goad). In her upper right hand she holds a spear and in her lower right hand is a noose. She has a golden crown on her head and wears a translucent shawl over her bare chest. She stands in a flat landscape and the painting is surrounded by a black border.
