There is a fundamental mistake in this painting....

Shiva's head is always facing left and not right as shown in this painting.

One brahmin is standing wear janiva... Which I doubt.

Are you sure -Patna. I think it is Chinsura - present Chuchura in West Bengal.

That might be ( about shiva's head, I didn't know that)...but kali's sacrificial goats should always be black.

So who painted this?

The religion culture has advanced for long distance,that nowadays the animals sacrifice is fast reducing, which is appreciable.

There is reduction in sacrifice for religion -alright but non-veg consumption reaching new heigh now days....

actual meaning of sacrifice is to surrender oneself to the service of the divine... the goddess here represents mother who can kill the animal instincts in children ... rest is just symbolism
