Fantastic. The colour of the flag and the white flowing robes of men, the spiral design on the minarets and the cupola on the left on the gateway suggest it was a Muslim kingdom. The canopied howdah is however Hindu.
seen it,its awesome
Daniells ? ...Not from Oriental Scenery's 170 odd series. Too much movement - waving flag, startled horse, running folks/dogs, to fit into oriental scenery set. Also no visible sign of camera obscura here. Like all their other Gateway/ Darwaza depictions, a scale-up of the door vis-a-vis the elephant would make it so much more striking. So why would the Daniells avoid the camera obscura here ? ...
which darwaza is this?
lovely
Absolutely gorgeous!
Bunny Grewal : Would you pls share the location of this place?
Its a fake. James Rennell, the young man who became India's first surveyor general & created the first atlas ( Bengal atlas) remarked in his "Memoirs of a Map of Hindoostan" about the accuracy & text details of the Daniell team work. If you cant identify the site with certainty, its probably not a Daniells. This looks like a generic darwaza - an artistic creation that doesnt align with the rest of their work.
fort to fight to Enemy is mind like fort Re bulid historical refrences in mind & learn from it to fight, For national intrest!!
