I always assumed Krishna would be of dark complexion in this case its Rama.
Shri Ram also of dark complexion
The story of Ram and Sita is enacted all over Southeast Asia in dance, drama and literature. It's amazing how far Cambodia and Thailand were influenced by this epic and the Mahabharata.
