A Ramacharitmanas manuscript , believed to be handwritten by Tulsidas himself, was stolen from Varanasi's Sankatmochan temple in mid-2011. The cops recovered it in Dec 2012. The local mahants have now undertaken a project to house various Ramacharitmanas manuscripts ( including the Tulsidas written one) in a new museum being constructed in Varanasi these days. That theft has done some good - woken up the mahants from 500 years of slumber. Transliteration is the conversion of a text from one script to another. According to standard Indian key to transliteration and pronunciation " च " is written as "c" which sounds like "ch". For example " चार्वाक " is transliterated (not translated) in English as "Cãrvãka" and " चरित " is transliterated as "carita". :-)
