The Appeal

If I have given you delight
By aught that I have done,
Let me lie quiet in that night
Which shall be yours anon:
And for that little, little span
The dead are borne in mind
Seek not to question other than
The books I leave behind.

"The Appeal," by Rudyard Kipling, published posthumously, 1939.

Very good. Lithograph rather than drawing

Corrected.

Another print likely ( may be original too, appears unsigned as displayed in the glass frame). This hangs inside the drawing room of the Uttarakhand Governor's house ( 1890s building modeled on Buckingham Palace) at Nainital , just above a grand piano. Visitors allowed in, when Guv'nor is not in the residence.
