This image is from Architecture in Dharwar and Mysore...with an historical and descriptive memoir by Colonel Meadows Taylor...and architectural notes by James Fergusson, John Murray, 1866. Sixty of the photographs for this work were by William Henry Pigou. The remaining images are either by Thomas Biggs, Pigou's predecessor in the project during the 1850s of the Bombay Artillery (1822-1905), or Andrew Charles Brisbane Neill, who completed the photography for this work, following the death of Pigou in 1858.
