The author VS Srinivasa Sastri is an interesting man. A moderate of the Gokhale school, a teacher, a diplomat, and a great orator in English. Rated highly in that regard by Churchill and Balfour among others. Very analytical thoughtful lectures.

He frequently visited Mysore as a guest of the Maharaja and stayed in one of his guest bungalows.
