This painting is the INVOCATION OF VEERABHADRA and nothing else. One can see Narad with the veena coming out of the black cloud(of smoke) and telling the news of Sati's demise to shiva in the right corner. Shiva plucks out his lock and dashes it to the ground and Veerabhadra is born. He was sent with shivaganas who are shown in the painting with animal faces, to destroy the Daksha Yadnya. the central figure in the painting is Veerabhadra as he is like shiva.
